PETRA KISS

Petra Kiss was born in Budapest in 1990. She started to play the piano in the age of 8. In 2002 she participated in the National György Ferenczy Piano Competition and won the first prize and a special prize. Two months later she played J. Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D major with orchestra.
In 2004 she won the second prize at the Hungarian National Piano Competition and a special prize called „the best interpretation of Chopin’s pieces”. In 2009 she played Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the wind orchestra of Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music in the Great
Hall of the Liszt Academy of Music. The next summer she won two 1st prizes (category of Weiner’s works and category of hungarian national composer’s pieces) in the International Music Camp and Competition in Balassagyarmat. She won the Scholarship of the Hungarian Republic twice for her excellent studies. She played many solo recitals all over Europe (Prague,
Milano, Leipzig, etc.). She debutated in 2013 in the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing, China) with a concert den György -Ferenczy tour (included two solo recitals and a piano concerto with the orchestra of the National Chinese Ballet). She finished her Bachelor’s degree from Liszt Academy of Music with the highest honours.
She finished her concert pianist master in the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in the class of the famous piano prof. Jacques Rouvier with distinction. She is touring all around the world as a solist, plays often piano concertos with orchestras.

Petra Kiss nació en Budapest en 1990 en una familia de músicos. Comenzó a tocar el piano a los 8 años. En 2002 participó en el Concurso Nacional de Piano György Ferenczy y ganó el primer premio y un premio especial. Dos meses más tarde interpretó el Concierto para piano en re mayor de J. Haydn con orquesta.

En 2004 ganó el segundo premio en el Concurso Nacional de Piano de Hungría y un premio especial llamado “la mejor interpretación de las piezas de Chopin”. En 2009 tocó la Rapsodhy in Blue de Gershwin con la orquesta de viento del Conservatorio de Música Béla Bartók en el Gran Salón de la Academia de Música Liszt.

El verano siguiente ganó dos primeros premios (categoría de obras de Weiner y categoría de piezas de compositores nacionales húngaros) en el Campamento y Concurso Internacional de Música en Balassagyarmat. Ganó dos veces la Beca de la República Húngara por sus excelentes estudios. Ofreció numerosos recitales en solitario por toda Europa (Praga, Milán, Leipzig, etc.).

Debutó en 2013 en el Centro Nacional de Artes Escénicas (Beijing, China) con una gira de conciertos (incluyó dos recitales como solista y un concierto para piano con la orquesta del Ballet Nacional Chino). Terminó su licenciatura y maestría en la Academia de Música Liszt con los más altos honores. Terminó su maestría como concertista de piano con distinción en la Universität Mozarteum de Salzburgo en la clase del famoso profesor de piano Jacques Rouvier.

Actualmente realiza sus estudios de Doctorado en la misma institución. Enseña piano en varias escuelas de música, así como en una universidad de Ratisbona, Alemania. Ha sido varias veces miembro del jurado en concursos internacionales de piano y regularmente imparte clases magistrales en festivales internacionales de música en Europa.

Als Tochter einer ungarischen Musikerfamilie hat sich mein Leben bereits seit meiner Kindheit um die Musik gedreht. Da meine beiden Eltern auch unterrichten, konnte ich schon sehr früh in diesem Beruf Erfahrungen sammeln. Meine Mutter ist Korrepetitorin. Seit Kindheit habe ich immer darauf gewartet, dass ich selbst andere Musiker begleiten darf.
Ich wurde seit 2009 an der Liszt-Akademie für Musik in Budapest ausgebildet und studierte seit 2013 an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg bei Prof. Jacques Rouvier. Ich nahm an Meisterklassen von Dmitri Bashkirov, Jura Margulis, Gottlieb Wallisch, Zoltán Kocsis, Lívia Rév, Martin Hughes, Hatto Beyerle teil. Ich unterrichte Klavier an der Landesmusikschule Wels und an der Hochschule für Katholische Kirchenmusik und Musikpädagogik in Regensburg.

Kiss Petra nyolcévesen kezdett zongorázni. Kétszer nyerte el a Zeneakadémian töltött évek során a Köztársasági Ösztöndíjat kiváló tanulmányi eredményéért. Európa-szerte és Kínában ad rendszeresen szólóesteket. Legutóbb Spanyolorszàgban turnézott zenekarral,mint szólista. Rengeteg jótékonysági koncertet szervez beteg gyermekek javára. 2012-ben kitüntetéssel diplomát szerzett a Zeneakadémia mesterképzésén, 2017-ben pedig ugyancsak kitüntetéssel diplomázott a salzburgi Universität Mozarteum zongoraművész szólista mesterképzésén. Posztgraduális tanulmányait is itt végezte,a világhírű Jacques Rouvier tanítványaként. Jelenleg Salzburgban él,valamint Regensburgban oktat zongorát egy egyetemen.
